Even if you don’t live in the US and can’t contact your representative about this bill, please please please reblog this so that others can see it and support it.
MANY major cosmetics brands currently test on animals, including L’oreal, Maybelline, MAC, Sephora, Covergirl, Estee Lauder, Aveeno, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Clinique, Dior, Neutrogena, Makeup Forever, Olay, Rimmel, Revlon, Smashbox, and YSL.
If you’re not educated about the subject, here’s an article with information about animal testing in the cosmetics world.
If you’re still not convinced, try looking at some images of animal testing procedures (warning: very disturbing and upsetting).
Sorry to interrupt the blog, but this is really really important and it would mean the world to me if you would reblog, and if you live in the US, click through the link and send a message to your state representative.
Unable to identify the original artist on this one, but it’s pretty neat. I love the big teeth in the background!
Hello, Anon. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Cultural appropriation is negative and harmful, however it shouldn’t be confused with cultural exchange, which is an important part of sharing human experience. “Social justice” in itself seems like a really vague phrase. My knee-jerk response is that justice is good. However, you may mean social justice as in blowing up a boatful of convicts to prevent a boatful of ordinary citizens dying, Dark Knight style. That sort of social justice is not good.
